“One thing I love about this music is its variety, and sometimes even the coexistence of different moods. The music is often abstract, but it also sometimes features sentimental sounds It is jarring in its wide leaps and velvety in the flow of its harmonies—sharp and sweet, rough and soft—often all at once” Deutschlandfunk Kultur
“A fearless composer and improviser who is completely unafraid to embrace musical contradictions“ Jazz Journal
“Windisch's compositions possess a bizarre, sometimes even surreal beauty, but above all, they reveal one thing: a great inner freedom.” Jazzthing
“As a result, the quartet comes across as both relaxed and focused; the four musicians glide effortlessly through the delicate soundscapes they have created. Four voices work together, not against one another. They transform the conceptual into highly concentrated, introspective action that simultaneously invites the audience, with maximum openness, to join them” Jazzpodium
“Every moment feels alive, balancing unpredictability with coherence, and revealing the ensemble’s remarkable unity in real time” ukvibe
